Fat Thursday
Last week I was hungry…really hungry for a jelly donut. Not a powdered jelly donut, mind you. Give me a jelly donut with sugar crystals, or don’t give me a jelly donut at all.
Yesterday I read that last Thursday, which I think was when the craving came upon me was Fat Thursday, which is celebrated one way in Poland by eating jelly donuts!
I’m part Polish! It was my genes calling out to me. Nevertheless, I never fulfilled my desire, and thank dog, because my jeans? They are tight and not in need of jelly donut indulgence.
