Doing a Split
My friend, Ana, did a split in the shower and broke her femur in 3 places. Her recovery will be hellish. Wish her well, please.
Personally, I remember sitting on the old claw foot tub and falling in. I’m careful now. I also remember sailing down the stairs as I tied my hair in a pony-tail getting ready to exercise with new slippery slippers. Couldn’t move my head for 2 weeks. I bet Ana is gonna be taking baths.

I met a nice nun the other day. As I was stepping off my walkway I noticed a spider web attached to the hedge. Hmmm. Where was it attached to? Probably the other hedge, and I just walked through it. “Jeez, I think I just walked through a spider web and might have a spider on me” I said to Sister T as she approached me and said hello. She shook my hand introduced herself Sister Theresa, blah, blah, blah….from …..College, nice to meetcha, no spiders on you. We chatted the whole way to the train. She was sweating off the weight. She introduced herself again, and shook my hand again, as Sister T. Give that woman a shout out, for it was way too fucking hot to be power walking. Seriously. I was melting when I reached the corner. I was happy to meet Sister T. Her handshake was powerful, her nature was generous, and we had good conversation. I wouldn’t mind meeting her again on one of her power walks.
Be well, be careful in the shower, and most of all, think good thoughts for Ana.
